Foundation Courses in Journalism

Introduction

Are you interested in a career as a journalist with a newspaper, website or media organisation?

If so, the choice of courses can be baffling.

You can rest assured that if you are fortunate enough to gain a place on Press Association Training’s foundation course, you will be getting the best training there is in the UK.

Our training centre in Newcastle is the only one in the country to be based in a working media publisher’s office. It is accredited by the NCTJ.

It runs for 16 weeks at our fully equipped facility in the headquarters of the Newcastle Evening Chronicle, Journal and Sunday Sun newspapers and associated websites.

It is unique in allowing reporters the chance to get stories published in some of the biggest regional outlets as you train. That means as well as leaving the course with the right qualifications, you can also expect a healthy cutting’s file with which to impress editors.
